Update...

Wow, it's been a loooong time since my last post. Who reads blogs anymore anyways? Thus, this will be short. How about I break it down like this: Family - wife and kids are doing great. We started homeschooling and all I can say is that it's RAD! We are finally going to remodel our super dated kitchen. Plan to break ground here in a couple of months. Work - I recently promoted to Fire Captain and I really enjoyed the change is duties and responsibilities. I'm currently at the Haz Mat station fulfilling my Haz Mat committment. Bike - After the 2010 season I was fragged. With three solo 24's and 100's and 8's I needed a break. I started coaching at the end of 2010. In 2011, I upgraded to USAC level 2 Coaching license. Check out On Your Right Coaching I kept racing a tad in 2011 with a couple of solid races and finally earned a spot on the top of the box at the Tahoe Sierra 100. Since then, I have not been in the racing scene personally, although I still feel like I'm there with my clients. Two of the notable client finishes include a 5th place at the Solo 24hr National Championship and 4th at the XC National Championships. Stay tuned because I'm thinking 2013 is going to be a banner year for OYRC. Coaching has taken on a new roll as I am the Head Coach for the Maria Carrillo High School MTB Team. We're the A-Team and the kids are killing it this season. Our first race netted a spot on the box in the Sophomore Girls Division. I'm not getting in the saddle time like I was when I was training but when I do head out you can find me hitting the hills. Check out my Strava. That's all for now, now I wonder how long it will be before I update this blog.
